In June 2025 singer-songwriter Gareth Davies-Jones walked from the Holy Island of Lindisfarne to Durham Cathedral via St Oswald’s Way and The Way of Light (Northern Saints Trail). As Gareth walked he carried a small guitar on his back and performed concerts for local communities everywhere he stopped. The journey provided the inspiration for a new album of original songs called “A Troubadour Journey : Lindisfarne to Durham” (due to be released in April 2026).
Gareth will be taking “A Troubadour Journey” out on a live concert tour in June, offering a vivid and entertaining musical encounter with the sights, sounds, history and heart of these Northern pilgrimage trails.
